It is an honour to be putting this show together. Clagg, Adrift For Days, and Broozer. God fuckin damn this is going to be an insanely heavy night. Fantastic poster done by Jesse Webb. If you’re in Melbourne on Saturday December 7th, do not miss this. Even if you miss our (Horsehunter’s) set you NEED to see these other bands, fucking phenomenal. This will probably be my last post on tumblr for a long time as I don’t use my computer much anymore other than for business, but I thought I should post this here anyway. I will probably be deleting my tumblr within the fortnight too so send me a message if you’d like to stay in touch through other means of communication. <3
It was my 18th birthday yesterday. I got a free tattoo from my awesome friend Jackson, and my friends teamed up to make me a cake that looks like my face. Awesome shit. Also got a bunch of other sweet presents from lovely people and yeah, it was great! I’m too lazy to write an extensive post but everything is going well and I’m saving up for some more tattoos. That’s about it.
Also I’m getting a free tattoo from Jackson (guitarist of Urns, ex-owner of Ritual, all round cool dude) on my 18th birthday! I’m thinking of getting the triforce from Zelda on my right shoulder, or the Zoso Jimmy Page symbol on my arm somewhere. Still haven’t made up my mind yet but getting excited!
I feel weird now that I finally dropped out of school. I kinda got asked to leave but essentially I could’ve stayed. It’s for the best though.
Lately I’ve actually been writing heaps of experimental minimalistic trippy hip hop stuff that I’m gonna be arranging with my pal Jesse some time soon. Also, we’re finishing off the Horsehunter record next week! So fucking excited to finally do the vocals and finish some guitar tracks (mainly solos). Can’t wait to hear the final product after we send it out for mixing and mastering! Probably getting it done by the guy who mastered Dopesmoker and The Art Of Self Defence’s reissues, his fares are low and he can make things sound huge. Especially guitars.
New Vincent Van Gogh painting discovered
The New York Times: Amsterdam’s Van Gogh museum has unveiled a newly-discovered painting by the Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, the first major canvas of the artist’s work that has been found since 1928.
The work, titled ‘Sunset at Montmajour,’ was painted in Arles in 1888 during a period that is considered to be the height of Van Gogh’s career.
